The LED illumination requires one CR2032 coin cell, purchased separately. It is not included with the standard CKS-SH-DI-LED-L. Standard CR2032 batteries are available at supermarkets, hardware stores, and electronics retailers.
No. The CR2032 powers only the LED. The 4-dial mechanical combination operates completely independently - a flat battery causes only the illumination to stop, not the lock. Access is never lost due to battery failure.
The CKS-SH-DI-LED-L ships preset at 0-0-0-0. To set your own code: open the storage compartment, press and hold the Reset Button inside the body while scrambling the dials to your chosen combination, then release the button. The CKS-SH-DI-LED-L is a fully mechanical key safe. The LED illuminates the dial markings on demand; it has no role in the locking mechanism. There are no firmware updates, no pairing requirements, no app, and no lockout from a dead battery. The only additional maintenance the LED adds is one CR2032 coin cell - typically lasting 12 months or more with occasional use.
Both the CKS-SH-DI-LED-L (this product) and the CKS-SH-BUT-L (button model) are usable in low light. The LED dial model illuminates the numbers directly; the button model's raised buttons can be found by touch even without illumination. The LED model is the cleaner solution when visibility is the primary concern. The button model is better suited to frequent code changes. How to Make a Claim
- Contact Terry’s Tradies Pty Ltd (the place of purchase) in writing as soon as the defect becomes apparent — and no later than 14 days after the end of the applicable warranty period.
- Include in your written claim: a description of the defect, the date of supply, your contact details, and satisfactory proof of purchase.
- Do not return the product until a return authorisation number has been issued by Davcor. If return is required, the product must be in its original, complete, and saleable packaging.
- Davcor will test and assess the product. No claim is valid unless Davcor has confirmed a defect is present.
- Once a valid claim is confirmed, Davcor will — at its discretion — repair the defect, replace the product, or supply an equivalent product. If repair or replacement cannot be completed within a reasonable time, you may request a full refund, provided the product has been returned.
Delivery inspection: If you believe a product is defective or incorrectly supplied at the time of delivery, telephone notice must be given within 72 hours of receipt, with written notice (including full particulars) within 14 days of the invoice date.
