BORG BL2201KSCECP Knob Keypad Only - Easicode Pro - Satin Chrome

The Borg BL2201KSCECP is a Satin Chrome external knob keypad with Easicode Pro (ECP) on-door code changing - codes can be changed in seconds without removing the lock from the door. It is designed as a replacement unit or custom build component for the Borg BL2201 series internal lock range.

Fully mechanical with no batteries required, this keypad is intended for light to medium duty internal doors - offices, internal access doors, and controlled areas where fast, tool-free code changes are needed. It is 50,000-cycle tested and offers over 4,000 possible code combinations. It is not weather resistant and is not intended for external use.

Estimated Warehouse Dispatch
Usually same day if ordered before 11am AEST (excluding weekends and Queensland public holidays).
Keypad Only - Not a Complete Lock
This product is supplied as a knob keypad unit only. It does not include a latch, inside handle, strike plate, spindle, or fixing screws. It is designed for replacing a worn or damaged outside keypad on an existing BL2201 installation, or for custom installations where the inside hardware and latch are sourced separately. See Compatible Host Locks below for the full locks this keypad suits.
Easicode Pro - On-Door Code Change
This is the ECP version, so you can change the code in seconds without removing the keypad from the door - using the code change button and the supplied change procedure. This is the practical advantage over the standard (non-ECP) tumbler keypads, which must be taken off the door and re-coded at a workbench. For the step-by-step ECP procedure, see Borg Easicode Pro: The On-Door Change and ECP Step-by-Step.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I change the code on the BL2201KSCECP?
This is the Easicode Pro (ECP) version, so the code is changed on the door without removing the keypad. You enter the current code, use the code change button, and set the new code - a process that takes under a minute. For the full step-by-step, see ECP Step-by-Step, or download the Easicode Pro instructions in the PDF Downloads section below.
What is the code change block pin for?
The block pin is an optional component. When fitted, it disables the on-door ECP code change function - useful where you want to lock the code permanently and prevent others from changing it. Leaving it out keeps the standard ECP on-door code change available. Its use is entirely optional.
Can I use this keypad outdoors or on a gate?
No - the BL2201KSCECP is Satin Chrome and rated for internal use only. It is not weather resistant. For external gates and coastal applications, choose a Marine Grade Pro keypad such as the BL2601KMGPRO (knob) or BL4401KMGPRO (lever), which are salt-spray tested to 1,000 hours.
Do I need to specify handing when ordering?
No - the knob and keypad are non-handed and reverse on site without tools, so a single unit suits both left-hand and right-hand doors.

Additional Information

Ideal where codes change often
On-door ECP code changing makes this keypad well-suited to offices, internal access doors, and shared or controlled-access areas where the code needs updating regularly - staff changes, tenancy turnover, or periodic security refreshes. There is no need to remove the lock, so maintenance downtime is minimal. For a fuller explanation of ECP versus standard code change, see ECP Explained.
Confirm lock body and adaptor compatibility before ordering
This keypad is primarily designed for the BL2201SCECP complete lock. When ordering keypad-only parts, always verify the lock body series, spindle size, and whether an adaptor kit is needed before installation. For a lever-handle version on the same platform, see the BL2401KSCECP.
Light to medium duty - not for high-traffic commercial use
The BL2201 series is designed for internal residential and light commercial doors. For high-volume commercial pedestrian traffic, consider a heavier-rated product such as the Carbine CDL7100SC. Background on mechanical digital lock selection is in the What Is a Mechanical Digital Lock? guide.
