The Carbine CEL-3IN1-SL8MBKIT is a three-credential digital lever lock providing touchscreen PIN code, RFID/NFC access, and mechanical key override. It fits into a standard 54mm lockset hole with no additional drilling, suits door thicknesses of 35-51mm, and includes a 60-70mm adjustable tubular latch. This kit includes 4 x AA Duracell Procell batteries.

How many codes and cards can the CEL-3IN1 hold?
Twenty-five user PIN codes and twenty-five RFID credentials, held as two separate pools, plus four single-use codes and one programming code. Auto-lock relocks the door a set number of seconds after it has been opened. The range is 5 to 99 seconds and it is off by default, so if you want it you have to turn it on in menu 70. Five seconds suits a front door; longer settings suit a door people carry things through.

Vacation mode (menu 60) suspends every user code and card at once without deleting any of them, leaving only the programming code and the mechanical key working. It is the right setting for a holiday house between bookings, or a property you are leaving empty - you turn the credentials back on when you return rather than re-enrolling everyone.

Do the fire certificates expire?

No. Only the leverset carries the fire assessment. The deadbolt shares the electronics but not the tested configuration, and a deadbolt on an apartment fire door runs into the one-penetration rule anyway - see secondary locks and the one-penetration principle.

Is the SL8 lever DDA compliant?
Carbine describes the SL8 lever as NCC compliant, and it is a return-to-door lever of the type AS1428.1 expects. Carbine does not quote an AS1428.1 certification for this model, so where a project genuinely has to demonstrate disability-access compliance, specify hardware that is certified to that standard rather than relying on the NCC statement. The requirements themselves are set out in Chapter 11: AS1428.1 and DDA compliance and Chapter 09: DDA, NDIS and accessibility.

Four AA alkalines - Carbine specifies Duracell Procell or an equivalent good-quality alkaline - and roughly 5,000 openings from a set. A single-occupant front door will go a long time on that; an Airbnb or a staff door will not. This kit ships with the batteries included.

What does the KIT in the item code mean?

How to Make a Claim

- Contact Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd (the place of purchase) in writing as soon as the defect becomes apparent - and no later than 14 days after the end of the applicable warranty period.
- Include in your written claim: a description of the defect, the date of supply, your contact details, and satisfactory proof of purchase.
- Do not return the product until a return authorisation number has been issued by Davcor. If return is required, the product must be in its original, complete, and saleable packaging.
- Davcor will test and assess the product. No claim is valid unless Davcor has confirmed a defect is present.
- Once a valid claim is confirmed, Davcor will - at its discretion - repair the defect, replace the product, or supply an equivalent product. If repair or replacement cannot be completed within a reasonable time, you may request a full refund, provided the product has been returned.
Delivery inspection: If you believe a product is defective or incorrectly supplied at the time of delivery, telephone notice must be given within 72 hours of receipt, with written notice (including full particulars) within 14 days of the invoice date.
