The Carbine CEL2-BT Fire Rated Bluetooth Leverset (CEL2-BT-SL8MB-FRKIT) is the dedicated fire door installation kit for the CEL2-BT Bluetooth leverset, packaged and documented for certified fitting on E-Core fire-rated doors. It brings together four access methods - touchscreen PIN code, RFID/NFC credential, Bluetooth through the Carbine Connect App, and a mechanical key override - and stores up to 100 codes and RFID cards combined, with up to 10 Bluetooth users per lock.
It is certified for use on E-Core fire-rated door systems at FRL -/120/30 (see the fire rating callout below for the full certificate reference and conditions). The Carbine Connect App works over Bluetooth only - there is no gateway, hub or internet connection, so the lock cannot be operated from outside Bluetooth range. This kit is the Matte Black finish; it is also available in Satin Nickel (CEL2-BT-SL8SN-FRKIT). No. Handing is set during installation by rotating the interior hub and the exterior lever 180 degrees to suit your door - one kit fits left or right hand doors. See understanding door handing in Australia.

I am replacing an older CEL-3IN1 leverset - will the screw holes line up?
The CEL2 generation uses a different fixing pattern to the original CEL-3IN1, so old screw holes may show. Carbine makes retrofit plates for exactly this - CEL2-L-RP-SS (satin steel) or CEL2-L-RP-MB (matte black) cover the lever screw holes. See the accessories and retrofit plates section.

What batteries does it use, and what happens when they go flat?
4 x AA alkaline batteries (Duracell Procell recommended) - not lithium or rechargeable, which can damage the lock and void warranty. The # key stays lit and the door will not lock - is it faulty?
No. The # key toggles passage mode, where the lock is held unlocked for free entry, and it is on by default on some units - the lit # after a correct code means passage mode is active. A leverset replaces the handle and latches the door itself - it is the all-in-one lock for an entry door. A deadbolt adds a bolt alongside an existing latch and does not close the door on its own. This leverset also adds RFID, which the CEL2-BT deadbolt does not have. How to Make a Claim

- Contact Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd (the place of purchase) in writing as soon as the defect becomes apparent - and no later than 14 days after the end of the applicable warranty period.
- Include in your written claim: a description of the defect, the date of supply, your contact details, and satisfactory proof of purchase.
- Do not return the product until a return authorisation number has been issued by Davcor. If return is required, the product must be in its original, complete, and saleable packaging.
- Davcor will test and assess the product. No claim is valid unless Davcor has confirmed a defect is present.
- Once a valid claim is confirmed, Davcor will - at its discretion - repair the defect, replace the product, or supply an equivalent product. If repair or replacement cannot be completed within a reasonable time, you may request a full refund, provided the product has been returned.
Delivery inspection: If you believe a product is defective or incorrectly supplied at the time of delivery, telephone notice must be given within 72 hours of receipt, with written notice (including full particulars) within 14 days of the invoice date.
