- Powered by 4 x 1.5V AA alkaline batteries (included). Only alkaline batteries are recommended; do not use rechargeable batteries.
- Battery life is approximately 12 months based on the lock being used 10 times per day. Life varies with temperature, humidity, usage, and battery quality.
- Low-battery warning is shown by the front indicator, and by the Yale Home App and email once the lock is connected.
- Smart Memory retains all codes, key tags, and settings if the batteries are depleted or replaced.
- 9V emergency power terminal on the front body provides temporary power to unlock the door if the batteries are flat (9V battery not included).

Yale Home App, Home Module & Remote Access
The 001Touch Plus is connected by the Yale Home App through the included Home Network Module. With the module fitted and the lock paired, you gain local Bluetooth control, auto-unlock, auto-lock, the DoorSense position sensor, audit trail, and unlimited PIN codes and key tags. You will get a low-battery warning from the front indicator and, once connected, from the Yale Home App and email. Smart Memory keeps all your codes and key tags stored. If the batteries fully discharge, touch a 9V battery to the emergency terminal on the front body to power the lock and enter your PIN, or use the mechanical key. Replace all four AA batteries together with fresh alkaline cells.

Used without the Yale Home App, the lock supports up to 20 PIN codes plus key tags, one temporary code, tamper alarm, three-minute lockout, and auto re-lock. - Everbrass finishes: up to 25 years against corrosion, tarnishing and discolouration.
- Stainless steel, polished stainless steel, chrome plating and anodised finishes: typically up to 10 years.
- PVD and VIVID finishes: typically up to 10 years.
- Symmetry range finishes: typically up to 5 years.
- Decorative finishes (Antique Copper, Architectural Bronze, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Aged Brass, Polished Brass, Satin Brass and related variants): typically up to 2 years against corrosion.
- Unlacquered brass finishes naturally age and change appearance over time. This is not considered a defect.
- Tea staining of stainless steel is not covered where the required cleaning and maintenance have not been followed.
