Code change on the BL2600 MG is done On The Bench - the lock has to come off the door, and the red (coded) and blue (uncoded) tumblers inside the keypad are rearranged using the supplied tweezers. It works, but it is a fiddly job, best done once and left alone. Code length can be set between 3 and 7 digits. If you think you might need to change the code more than once, even just once a year, we would point you to the BL2601 MG Pro ECP instead, which lets you reset the code on the door in about 10 seconds.

BL2600 / BL2601 Marine Grade Series - Product Family
This product (bold row) is the entry-level model in the BL2600/BL2601 marine grade knob family. Both siblings share the same 60mm tubular latch platform and clutching knob mechanism - the difference is coating grade and code-change method, not the lock body itself. Borg's BL2600 family also has a separate, unrelated back-to-back tier under the same "2600" family number - see BL2620MGBC, an External Grade knob/knob back-to-back lock in polished chrome. It is not a finish variant of this product; it is a different door format on a different grade tier.

How do I change the PIN code on the BL2600 MG?
The code is changed on the bench, with the lock off the door. Turn the keypad over, remove the two red cover plate screws, then press and hold the C button. Use the supplied tweezers to rearrange the red coded tumblers and blue uncoded tumblers to set your new code. Refit the cover plate, put the lock back on the door, and test the new code several times before closing the gate or door. Write the new code down somewhere safe, the Code Card is a good spot.

Borg products sold in Australia are covered against mechanical defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. Warranty claims are handled by Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites, trading names, and subsidiaries.

- Mechanical defects in materials and workmanship

- Repair or replacement of defective units at the discretion of the Australian distributor (LSC)
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
- Damage arising from misuse, vandalism, or abuse
- Damage resulting from improper installation
- Locks that have been dismantled - dismantling invalidates the warranty
- Normal wear and tear
- Cosmetic damage not affecting function

- Contact Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd first if you purchased through us or one of its associated trading names - we will assess the issue and manage the warranty process with LSC on your behalf. You do not need to contact LSC or Borg Locks UK directly.
- Have your proof of purchase ready (receipt or order confirmation).
- Warranty claims for Borg products in Australia are processed through LSC, the authorised Australian importer and distributor. Where an item is returned to LSC, freight charges must be prepaid and the item returned within the warranty period.
- If LSC finds the returned item to be defective, it will be repaired or replaced, and a detailed assessment report is provided to the customer after examination.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
