McGrath TGFP70 Access Control Keypad with Fingerprint and Built-In Wi-Fi - Silver
The McGrath TGFP70 is a standalone access control keypad with a tempered glass touchscreen, integrated fingerprint reader and built-in 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Hardwired at 12 volt DC, it controls electric strikes, automatic doors, garage doors and gates via relay output, with remote management available through the McGrath Locks App from anywhere - no separate gateway required.
With a 68mm wide zinc alloy body and support for fingerprint, PIN code, RFID credentials and Bluetooth eKeys, the TGFP70 delivers high-capacity multi-method access control in a single device. Its standout specification is an RFID capacity of 20,000 credentials - substantially higher than most comparable controllers - making it well suited to commercial and multi-user installations.
Usually same day when ordered before 11am AEST (excluding weekends and QLD public holidays).

The TGFP70 is a standalone hardwired access controller - not a door lock and not a wireless accessory keypad. All credentials (fingerprints, PIN codes, RFID cards, Bluetooth eKeys) are stored internally within the device. When a valid credential is presented, the TGFP70 activates its internal relay (NO / NC / COM) to release a connected electric strike, magnetic lock, gate motor, garage door or automatic door.
Unlike the TGFP43, the TGFP70 has built-in Wi-Fi and connects directly to the McGrath Locks App for remote management without needing a separate gateway. User enrolment, access scheduling, audit trails and credential management are all handled over Wi-Fi from anywhere.
Access Methods
The Access Methods chapter of our Smart Lock Buyer's Guide covers fingerprint, PIN, RFID and Bluetooth in depth, including where each credential type excels in practice.

McGrath Locks App
The TGFP70 is managed through the McGrath Locks App, McGrath's customised build on the TTLock platform (also compatible with TTHotel for hospitality and managed accommodation use). The app handles user enrolment, credential issue and revocation, time-limited and one-time passcodes, passage mode, scheduling, and audit trails - all over the keypad's built-in Wi-Fi without needing an external gateway or bridge.
The McGrath Locks App is available on both Apple and Android devices ![]()
(iOS 7.0 and above, Android 4.3 and above). For day-to-day platform guidance see the TTLock Platform Guide and TTLock Tips and Tricks. For short-stay rental use, see Using TTLock for Airbnb in Australia.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. The TGFP70 is a standalone access controller. It does not include a lock, deadbolt or latch. It releases a connected electric strike, magnetic lock, gate motor, garage door or automatic door via its built-in relay output.
No. The TGFP70 has built-in 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and connects directly to the McGrath Locks App from anywhere without a gateway. This is a key difference from the TGFP43, which requires a separately purchased gateway for remote access.
The TGFP70 stores up to 20,000 RFID credentials - substantially more than most comparable access-control keypads. McGrath's MIFARE 1K cards, fobs, stickers and wristbands all work on the 13.56MHz MIFARE reader.
Up to 500 fingerprints. This is higher than the TGFP43 (100 fingerprints) and matches the RBH52 (500 fingerprints).
The TGFP70 is a 12 volt hardwired device with a relay driving separate locking hardware. Installation is more involved than a battery smart lock - a qualified electrician or licenced locksmith is recommended. See our site survey and installation service if you are on the Gold Coast.
McGrath smart locks and access control are backed by long-established Australian industry partners and supported locally by Terry's. Additional Information
The TGFP70's defining advantage in the McGrath hardwired keypad family is its combination of built-in Wi-Fi (no gateway required), 500 fingerprints and 20,000 RFID credentials. The 20,000-credential RFID pool is the headline spec: at most commercial and multi-tenancy sites the practical ceiling is the management overhead, not the hardware limit. If your installation has frequent credential turnover - managed accommodation, strata access, co-working, or high-traffic commercial - the TGFP70 removes the need to manage that ceiling.
Compared with the TGFP43, the TGFP70 is wider (68mm vs 43.5mm), includes built-in Wi-Fi, stores 500 vs 100 fingerprints, and holds 20,000 vs 1,000 RFID credentials. Compared with the RBH52, the TGFP70 offers a capacitive glass touchscreen and 20x the RFID capacity (20,000 vs 1,000), at the cost of the RBH52's external Wi-Fi antenna design. For buyers comparing the full platform across brands, the App Platforms chapter and Which App Platform Is Right for You are the recommended starting points.
