Lockwood ASSA ABLOY Integral Escutcheon with Key Override - 35mm to 55mm Doors
The Lockwood ASSA ABLOY Integral Escutcheon with Key Override (ITGL-AUT1I1KOSS) is a stand-alone wireless RFID access control escutcheon built for commercial and accommodation doors where you need secure, credential-based entry without hardwiring the opening. It reads RFID cards and fobs at the door, records who entered and when, and adds a mechanical key override for authorised emergency or management access.
Integral is an offline, data-on-card access control system. Access permissions are carried on the credential and read by the lock, so there is no cabling to run through the door or frame and no IP networking knowledge required for a standard deployment. That makes it well suited to retrofit upgrades as well as new work, and the platform scales to up to 9999 doors and unlimited users across a site.
This SKU is the escutcheon assembly only. It is designed around the Australian mortice lock footprint 3772NOHDSS, with 530 tubular latch options available in related Integral variants. If you want the escutcheon supplied together with the compatible 3772 mortice lock body, order the bundled version, ITGL-AUT1I1KOSS-B.
The inside lever provides panic release for immediate egress, while the outside escutcheon uses a high-quality RFID proximity reader for entry. The lock also supports electronic privacy and passage mode for varied operating requirements. New to credential-based access control? The Access Methods chapter of our Smart Lock Buyer's Guide explains how RFID card and fob entry works.

Finish selection does not affect functionality, credential capability, compliance or performance.
The Integral escutcheon range is identified by the manufacturer as fire rated. Fire performance always depends on the complete tested doorset - the door type, the escutcheon and the approved latch or mortice lock combination used together. Confirm the specific doorset configuration for your opening. For a plain-English explanation of Australian fire door and lockset standards, see Chapter 11 - Australian Standards (AS1905.1) and the Fire Door Smart Locks chapter. See also our guide to what locks are actually compliant on apartment fire doors.
Disability Act Compliance (DDA)
- The lever is certified in accordance with AS1428.1-2009 Design for Access and Mobility.
- This assists suitability where accessible lever operation is required.
- Lever compliance relates to the lever design only; whole-of-door compliance still depends on the complete opening and installation. For NDIS, SDA and aged-care context, see Chapter 09 - DDA, NDIS & Accessibility and our practical guide to DDA smart locks for NDIS and disability housing.

Access Methods
How the Integral System Works
Integral is an offline, data-on-card access control system. You design the site (zones, floors and doors) in the Integral management software, encode that data onto system cards, and the locks read it at the door - there is no wiring between openings and no live network connection needed.
- Set up: program each lock by presenting the System Activation (SWA) card, then the Lock ID card, then the Lock Real-Time card - each within 3 seconds of the last. LED and buzzer feedback confirms each step.
- Everyday access: present a valid RFID user card or fob; the lock grants access and logs the event. User cards will not open a door set to internal Privacy mode.
- Management credentials: Floor, Zone, Global and Security cards unlock progressively wider groups of doors within a valid period; a Recorder card reads the audit trail off each lock.
- Programmed by card: a programming-by-card guide (PDF) is available in the PDF Files tab, along with the full installation guide.

Battery, Power & Backup Access
- Powered by 4 x AA alkaline batteries housed in the interior escutcheon.
- Manufacturer-stated endurance of approximately 60,000 operations under normal use.
- An under-voltage warning gives early notice when battery voltage drops; the lock continues to operate for approximately 50 further operations after the warning.
- Mechanical key override provides authorised backup entry - useful if batteries are fully depleted before replacement.
- Battery-powered design keeps the installation wire-free: no cabling through the door or frame. For real-world battery-life expectations in coastal conditions, see The Realities of Electronic Door Locks.
Accessories & Spares
These accessories are system dependent and are not all included with the base escutcheon SKU. Selection depends on whether the site is set up in accommodation mode, commercial mode, or as an expansion of an existing Integral system. Not sure what a scar plate does? See our guide to scar plates and when you need one.
Item Code Family
Only the two key-override (KOSS) variants are stocked as standard. The AU-version (no override) and 530-latch variants are shown for range context. Choosing between escutcheon-only and the bundled 3772 lock version? See Chapter 02 - Measuring Your Door for backset and door-thickness guidance.
Frequently Asked Questions
It means the escutcheon includes a mechanical override cylinder, so an authorised key can operate the door where site policy or emergency procedures require it. Background reading: mechanical key override on smart locks.
No. Integral is a wire-free, offline, data-on-card system. The lock does not require wiring through the opening and does not connect to Wi-Fi - permissions travel on the credential.
No - this is the escutcheon with key override only. The version that includes the 3772 mortice lock is ITGL-AUT1I1KOSS-B.
RFID proximity credentials - ISO 14443A MIFARE® cards, fobs and wristbands at 13.56MHz. See Chapter 03 - Access Methods for how RFID entry compares with PIN and biometric options.
4 x AA alkaline batteries, with a manufacturer-stated life of up to 60,000 operations. An under-voltage warning gives early notice, and the lock keeps working for roughly 50 more operations before the batteries must be changed. The key override provides authorised backup entry.
The lever is certified to AS1428.1-2009, which assists accessible-door applications. It is also identified as fire rated - but whole-of-door fire and access compliance always depends on the complete tested doorset. See Chapter 05 - Fire Door Smart Locks.
Additional Information
Integral is positioned for sites that want credentialed access control without the cost and disruption of wiring every opening. Because it is a data-on-card system, permissions are carried by the credential and read by the lock, which keeps site infrastructure minimal and makes it a practical retrofit path. The platform scales to up to 9999 doors and unlimited users, with management software offered in Accommodation and Commercial modes.
For locksmiths and retrofit work, the main attraction is that the escutcheon uses the current Australian mortice lock footprint (3772NOHDSS), which simplifies many upgrades. Other 3772 Selector bodies in the range include the 3772NSF8SS heavy-duty hub-spring lock, the 3772RSS radius-end version and the 3772TSS with locking adaptor. Where single-action emergency egress is needed, the 3772PEDSS panic-exit kit suits the same mortice platform. For new work or packaged supply, the bundled -B variant is usually the cleaner ordering choice because it includes the compatible lock.
If a project needs an on-door PIN or card lockset rather than a data-on-card system, the standalone Lockwood Cortex CTX3772 digital lockset is a good alternative on the same 3772 mortice, with a CTX530 tubular-latch version and a narrow-stile CTX5782 for aluminium doors.
Correct site planning should consider credentials, encoder requirements, activation and management cards, any wall readers, and how privacy or override functions are managed operationally.
