Lockwood 3772PEDSS Panic Exit Device Kit for Selector 3772 Mortice Lock - Satin Stainless Steel
The Lockwood 3772PEDSS is a stainless steel Panic Exit Device (PED) kit for the Selector 3772 Series mortice lock. It adapts a 3772 escape lock so it can be operated by panic exit device (crash bar) hardware, supporting single-action egress on emergency exit doors.
This is an accessory kit, not a complete lock or exit device. It is fitted to a compatible Selector 3772 mortice lock (ordered separately) and works with panic exit hardware such as Lockwood's FLUID exit device range. It suits commercial, institutional and public buildings where safe egress, durability and fire compliance are required.
Key Features
- Accessory kit for the Selector 3772 mortice escape lock.
- Adapts the 3772 to be operated by panic exit device (crash bar) hardware.
- Stainless steel construction for durability and fire-door suitability.
- Supports single-action egress for emergency exit doors.
- Suitable for fire-rated doorsets up to 4 hours when used with a compliant, fire-rated 3772 lock.
- Designed to interface with Lockwood FLUID panic exit device hardware (confirm the exact pairing before ordering).
When fitted to a compliant, fire-rated Selector 3772 mortice lock, this kit is suitable for fire-rated doorsets tested to AS 1905.1 for up to 4 hours. Fire performance is a property of the complete doorset (lock, exit device, hinges, strikes, seals and door core), not this component alone - and holdback lock configurations are not fire door rated. Confirm the full assembly is certified for your application. For background, see Chapter 11 - Australian Standards (AS 1905.1) and our guide to fire door types and certification.

Frequently Asked Questions
It is a Panic Exit Device faceplate kit only - the stainless steel faceplate, fixing screws and instructions. It does not include the Selector 3772 mortice lock, a cylinder, or the panic exit device (bar). Those are ordered separately.
It is designed to interface the 3772 lock with panic exit device (crash bar) hardware, such as Lockwood's FLUID FE109 mortice exit devices. Because there are several FLUID configurations and backsets, confirm the exact bar and pairing for your door with Terry's before ordering.
When fitted to a compliant, fire-rated 3772 lock, the kit is suitable for fire-rated doorsets tested to AS 1905.1 for up to 4 hours. Fire and egress compliance is a property of the complete certified doorset, so confirm the whole assembly with your specifier. See what locks are actually compliant for background.
Additional Information
Panic and emergency exit hardware is life-safety equipment. Whether an opening meets egress and disability-access requirements depends on the complete doorset - the lock, the exit device, the door leaf and frame, and how they are installed and certified - not on this faceplate kit alone. Have the assembly specified and signed off by a qualified specifier or certifier. Terry's can advise on the correct 3772 lock and FLUID device combination for your door.
A fire-rated lock and PED kit are only part of a compliant doorset - confirm hinges, strikes, seals, the exit device and the door core are all rated and compatible, and note that holdback lock configurations are excluded from the fire rating. For a reference list of test certificates see Fire-Rated Certification - Test Reports. Fire door and commercial work is a candidate for Terry's professional install - see Site Survey & Installation Services.
A typical 3772 panic-exit opening combines a Selector 3772 mortice lock, this PED faceplate kit, and a FLUID exit device (bar, trim and screw pack). See the 3772 lock range and the FLUID FE109 exit device to assemble the full set.
