Take out the four retaining screws, carefully lift the cover plate (springs stay attached), hold the C tumbler depressed, then use the supplied tweezers to reposition the red (coded) and blue (uncoded) tumblers. This model has no mechanical key override - the code pad is the only way in from outside. If you want a physical backup key as well as the keypad, the Borg BL2701 ECP range is a related Easicode Pro platform with a built-in key override.
Enter the code, turn the knob, then engage the holdback to keep the latch retracted for free passage without entering a code every time. Release it any time by operating the inside paddle. The holdback device can also be permanently removed if you never want free passage. The BL2200 is a light duty knob keypad cycle tested to 50,000 operations - suited to low-frequency internal applications such as offices, storage rooms and amenities. Installing on a narrow aluminium gate frame?
This lock ships with a standard 60mm backset tubular latch. If you are mounting it on an external gate with a narrow aluminium frame - commonly 50mm x 50mm or similar - the standard latch will not fit.

Item codes shown for BL2000SC and BL2000PB corrected this build - legacy family tables across this cohort mislabelled these two rows "BL2001SC"/"BL2001PB"; confirmed against the product_id CSV and BL2000KSCNEW's own accessory-of relationship. To engage holdback: enter the code, operate the knob to retract the latch, then engage the holdback device on the inside paddle. To release it: operate the inside paddle. To remove it permanently: the holdback device can be taken off the inside paddle handle at any time without affecting normal lock operation. The tumbler code can be set and verified on the bench before the lock goes on the door - do this first so you are not removing a freshly-fitted lock for its first code change.
Polished brass (BL2200PB) suits internal and dry sheltered external doors. Avoid direct exposure to moisture, condensation or outdoor weather - satin chrome (BL2200SC) resists surface marking and oxidation better over time in the same conditions.
If you expect to change the code more than once every few years, the on-door Easicode Pro method on the BL2201SCECP saves removing the lock every time - same body, same holdback, same satin chrome finish, higher combination-change convenience.

Access and Credentials
As many as you like - the BL2200 stores a single shared PIN code, so everyone with access uses the same code. There is no per-user code capacity on this model. If separate user codes matter to you, a smart lock with an app is a better fit than any mechanical digital keypad.
With no key override, a forgotten code on this model means calling a locksmith - there is no backup key to fall back on. If that risk worries you, the Borg BL2701 ECP range is a related platform that adds a built-in key override.
The outside knob is clutched - it spins freely against the mechanism until the correct code is entered, so applying force to the knob alone will not operate the latch. Overall door security still depends on correct installation, a sound frame and a compatible strike.

Holdback and Passage
No - holdback should never be engaged on a fire door or a required emergency exit path, because it defeats the self-latching function the door relies on for compliance. See the hard exclusion explained in Passage Mode vs Holdback Mode.

- Have your proof of purchase ready (receipt or order confirmation).
- Warranty claims for Borg products in Australia are processed through LSC, the authorised Australian importer and distributor. Where an item is returned to LSC, freight charges must be prepaid and the item returned within the warranty period.
- If LSC finds the returned item to be defective, it will be repaired or replaced, and a detailed assessment report is provided to the customer after examination.
