BDS Scar Plate Suits Lockwood 530 Digital Lock - Stainless Steel

This stainless steel scar plate, a dress plate in BDS terms, is made to suit the Lockwood 530 Digital. It covers old holes, oversized preparation, scarring or damage around the lock and leaves the door with a clean finish.

The 530 Digital, also called the 530DX, is the Lockwood mechanical digital keypad lock with a 530 latch, and our guide to the Lockwood, Borg and Carbine ranges shows where it sits. It is a different lock from the electronic Lockwood Cortex CTX530, which has its own ADI scar plates.

Will it fit my Lockwood 530 Digital?
Yes. It is made for the Lockwood 530 Digital, which we sell as the Lockwood DX Digital-Mechanical Keypad with 530 Latch and, with a keypad on each side, the Lockwood DX Digital-Mechanical Keypads x2. Just check your lock is not a Lockwood Cortex CTX530: that is an electronic lock that also uses a 530 latch, and it takes the ADI scar plates made for the Cortex 530 instead. If you can't tell which lock is on the door, our free recommendation service can help you identify it.

Is it one plate or a pair?
One plate. If the other side of the door needs covering as well, for example where the two-keypad Lockwood 530 Digital is fitted, order a second one. Our scar plate FAQ covers pairs and single plates in more detail.

Can I use it on a fire door?
BDS doesn't list a fire rating for this plate. The Lockwood DX Digital-Mechanical Keypad with 530 Latch is sold as fire rated (Lockwood's fire rating note for the 530 Digital DX Entrance Set is on PDF page 4 of its catalogue), but that rating belongs to the lock, not to this plate. Will it cover my old holes?
Yes, if they fall within the plate's 180mm x 65mm outline. Measure the old holes, cut-outs and scarring before you order, because anything reaching past the edge of the plate will still show. See why size and shape matter for what to check.
