This is an ADI-manufactured aftermarket product, not a Lockwood branded accessory. It is an in-stock item available for same-day dispatch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these the same as the Lockwood CTX-SSPLT-530 scar plates?
No. The ADICTXSPSSS is manufactured by ADI and is an aftermarket product. The Lockwood CTX-SSPLT-530 is the Lockwood-branded equivalent. Both are sized for the Cortex 530 escutcheon profile and serve the same function. The ADI plates are available from stock with same-day dispatch; the Lockwood-branded plates carry a 7 business day lead time and should be ordered when only Lockwood-branded accessories are acceptable for the installation.
Do these plates include fixing screws?
Fixings are not confirmed as included with this product. Fixings are typically supplied with the lockset - confirm your available fixings against the plate and door before installation.
Will these plates suit other Lockwood digital or electronic locks?
These plates are confirmed to suit the Lockwood Cortex 530 series only. Compatibility with other Lockwood digital lock models has not been confirmed. Do not assume fit based on visual similarity - verify against the escutcheon profile and door preparation dimensions of the intended lockset before ordering.
Do I always need a scar plate when installing a smart lock?
No - scar plates are needed when the lock preparation in the door extends beyond the escutcheon footprint, when previous hardware has left visible damage or marking on the door face, or when a commercial specification calls for them as standard. For a full explanation of when scar plates are and are not required, see our guide to when you need a scar plate.

Additional Information

ADI vs Lockwood branded scar plates: The ADICTXSPSSS is manufactured by ADI and is an aftermarket accessory. For installations where only Lockwood-branded accessories are specified, the Lockwood CTX-SSPLT-530 (sold separately, 7 business day lead time) is the alternative. Both products serve the same function. The ADI plates offer the advantage of same-day dispatch from in-stock inventory. For the full brand-by-brand scar plate comparison including Lockwood and ADI, see our scar plate brand guide.
Confirm fit before ordering: At 230 mm long and 75 mm wide, these plates are sized to suit the Cortex 530 escutcheon profile. Measure the door face and confirm the plate dimensions clear the escutcheon and cover the full lock preparation before ordering. If you are not sure how to identify and measure a mortice escutcheon, our guide to mortice lever and escutcheon measurement sets out the points to check.
Material and finish suitability: These plates are manufactured from stainless steel, making them suitable for both interior and exterior door face applications. Stainless steel provides corrosion resistance appropriate for most Australian residential and commercial environments. For guidance on choosing between stainless steel, powder-coated mild steel, and aluminium plates in different environments, see our scar plate materials and finishes guide.
This product suits the Lockwood Cortex 530: These scar plates are an accessory for the Lockwood Cortex Digital Lockset CTX530 with 530 Latch. If you are purchasing the lockset and need door face protection, order the scar plates at the same time to avoid a separate shipping event.

How to Make a Claim

For full returns and warranty claim procedures, visit our Returns & Warranty page — this is kept up to date and is the authoritative reference for current claim steps.
  1. Contact Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites, trading names, and subsidiaries first. All warranty claims must be initiated through us — contact Gold Coast Smart Locks via our Returns & Warranty page with your order details and a description of the fault.
