The ABUS Key Garage KG797LEDC is a padlock-style key and card storage unit secured by a resettable 4-wheel mechanical dial combination with LED-illuminated dials for improved usability in low-light environments. The LED activates on demand and remains lit for approximately 30 seconds, powered by a CR2032 coin cell battery.
The lock mechanism is fully mechanical - the battery powers only the LED illumination. If the battery runs flat, the dial combination continues to operate normally; the dials simply will not illuminate. Battery & Power
- The KG797LEDC uses a CR2032 coin cell battery to power the LED dial illumination only. The battery does not affect the mechanical lock operation.
- If the battery runs flat, the padlock continues to work normally - the 4-wheel dial mechanism is entirely mechanical. The only effect of a flat battery is that the dials will not illuminate.
- Replace the CR2032 when LED illumination becomes dim or does not activate. Battery replacement does not require resetting the combination.

Is this suitable for outdoor installation?
