The Neptune ACKPW1C is a mullion-format access control keypad with a built-in 125 kHz EM proximity reader. Its narrow 2 x 6 push-button layout is designed to fit slim door frames and mullions where a full-size keypad will not sit, while still offering both PIN and card entry.

The unit works as a complete standalone controller for a single door, with one relay output driving an electric strike, magnetic lock or bolt, and it also provides a Wiegand interface for connection to an external system. Capacity runs to 2,000 users. The fully potted electronics are rated to IP68 and housed in a vandal-resistant zinc alloy case for indoor or outdoor use.

This is an access control keypad, not a door lock. It switches the door hardware through its relay and is designed to be paired with the lock and power supply appropriate to the installation.

Why choose the mullion version over the standard keypad?
The ACKPW1C is only 58 mm wide, so it fits narrow door frames, mullions and jambs beside glass where a full-size 3 x 4 keypad will not sit. If you have room for a larger keypad and want EM and HID plus dual relays, the Neptune ACKPWB6K is the wider alternative.

Is it suitable for outdoor installation?

What cards will it read?
The reader supports 125 kHz EM proximity cards and fobs only. It does not read HID or 13.56 MHz Mifare cards. Compare card and PIN credentials in the Access Methods buyers guide.

What lock can the relay drive?
The relay is rated to a maximum 2 ampere lock output. Choose the electric strike, magnetic lock or bolt to suit the relay rating, and power the lock from a dedicated access control power supply rather than directly from the keypad.

Can it be used as a reader for another controller?
Yes. The keypad provides a Wiegand 26 output, so its data lines can connect to any controller that accepts a Wiegand 26 input, letting it act as a reader rather than a standalone controller.
