McGrath 240V Wall Adaptor with Dual USB - Suits G3, G4 & G5 Gateways
The McGrath MLWA240USB is a 240V mains wall adaptor with two USB output ports, supplied to power the McGrath gateway range and other compatible 5V USB devices. It provides regulated, mains-derived power so a gateway can stay permanently connected without relying on an existing charger.
Finished in white with a folding Australian pin plug, the adaptor delivers up to 10.5W across its two ports, with one port rated at 5V / 1A and the other at 5V / 2.1A. It is the straightforward way to give a McGrath gateway a dedicated, always-on power source at the wall.
Usually same day if ordered before 11am AEST (excluding weekends and QLD public holidays)
Powers the current McGrath gateway range - the G3 (PoE), G4 (4G / Wi-Fi) and G5 (dual-band Wi-Fi) - plus any other device that accepts standard 5V USB power. Also suits other USB-powered smart lock accessories.
Key Features
- Dedicated mains power for a gateway - gives a McGrath gateway an always-on 5V USB supply at the wall rather than borrowing an existing charger.
- Two USB output ports - Port 1 at 5V / 1A and Port 2 at 5V / 2.1A, so a second USB device can share the adaptor.
- 10.5W continuous rated output - regulated power sized for gateway and accessory duty.
- Over-current and short-circuit protection built in.
- Wide input range (100-240V AC, 50/60Hz) with a folding Australian pin plug.
- Compact white housing that sits neatly at a power point.
Suitable Uses
- Powering a McGrath G3, G4 or G5 gateway from a standard Australian power point.
- Replacing a lost or damaged gateway power adaptor.
- Running a gateway plus a second USB device from one power point where two ports are useful.
- Powering other 5V USB smart lock accessories that need a mains source rather than a battery.
This is a power adaptor only. It is not a gateway and does not itself provide Wi-Fi, remote access, or any lock control.

Frequently Asked Questions
The adaptor supplies the mains-to-USB power. Gateways are normally supplied with their own USB lead, so use the cable that came with your gateway to connect it to this adaptor.
Yes. Port 1 delivers up to 1A and Port 2 up to 2.1A, within a combined 10.5W continuous rating. A gateway draws very little, so a second low-draw USB device can usually share the adaptor.
A stable mains supply helps, but most drop-outs are network related. Our guide to Wi-Fi drop-outs covers band steering and router causes, and the gateway comparison explains which generation suits your network.
Additional Information
A McGrath gateway needs a permanent power source to keep a smart lock reachable for remote access, so a dedicated wall adaptor like this one is worth having rather than tying up a phone charger. If you are still choosing a gateway, the G2 vs G3 vs G4 vs G5 comparison walks through the differences between wired PoE, 4G and dual-band Wi-Fi, and Chapter 8 of our Buyer's Guide, the gateway comparison chapter, explains what a gateway actually does and where to place it.
For the wider platform picture - how Bluetooth-only versus gateway-connected operation works on McGrath and other TTLock locks - see the TTLock Platform Guide. If a lock is losing connection intermittently, the Wi-Fi drop-out guide is the place to start before replacing hardware.
