McGrath Grange Dummy Entrance Pull Handle
The McGrath Grange Dummy Entrance Pull Handle is designed to visually match the McGrath Grange smart pull handle lock on double-door installations where only one door contains the electronic lock mechanism.
It provides a fixed architectural pull handle for the inactive door leaf. This allows both doors to carry the same full-height Grange handle design while the active door contains the electronic locking system. The dummy handle contains no electronic components, no locking mechanism and no moving parts — it is a fixed pull handle only.
Usually same day if ordered before 11am AEST (excluding weekends and QLD public holidays).
The Grange dummy handle does not lock the door and provides no security function. It is a fixed pull handle only. The active door in a double-door entrance requires the McGrath Grange Entrance Pull Handle with Smart Lock for access control.

Frequently Asked Questions
A dummy pull handle is a fixed handle with no lock mechanism. It is used on the inactive door of a double-door entrance to match the appearance of the active door which carries the locking hardware. For a detailed explanation of how double-door Grange installations work, see the double door section of the Grange smart lock page.
No. The dummy handle contains no locking mechanism and provides no security function. Only the active door with the Grange smart lock controls access. If the inactive door needs to be secured independently, a separate flush bolt or coordinator should be considered.
Each packet of scar plates contains two plates — enough to cover one leaf (internal and external faces). For a complete double-door installation where both leaves need scar plates, order two packets. See Grange Scar Plates (900 x 75mm) or Grange Scar Plates (556 x 64mm).
Yes. It can be installed on any architectural entry door where a fixed full-height pull handle is required without a lock mechanism.
The dummy handle suits standard door thicknesses of 35mm to 55mm. For thicker doors, use the extended tail piece kit (52mm–75mm) or the extended tail piece and connector bar kit (75mm–100mm). Measure your door leaf thickness including any glazing or frame section before ordering.
Additional Information
The Grange dummy pull handle is designed specifically to match the proportions and appearance of the McGrath Grange smart lock handle. When installed on double doors, the two handles align to create a symmetrical entrance. The 900mm handle height, 60mm width and 30mm depth are identical to the active Grange smart lock handle, ensuring a flush visual match across both door leaves.
If legacy hardware has left oversized holes or fixing cut-outs on the dummy door leaf, use the Grange scar plate (900 x 75mm) or Grange scar plate (556 x 64mm) to cover these before fitting the dummy handle. The 900mm scar plate is also suited to covering the fixing profile left by a Gainsborough Omni handle during a retrofit. For installation guidance on push-pull door retrofits, see Smart Locks on Vertical Push-Pull Handle Doors.
