The S5 and S6 are mechanically identical in operation but differ in key capacity and body size. The S6 is the slimmer, lower-capacity option; the S5 is larger and holds up to 5 keys. What is the difference between the S6 and the S5?
The S5 holds 5 keys and has a larger body (105 x 65 x 55 mm). The S6 holds 2 keys and has a slimmer body (100 x 59 x 41 mm). Both use the same resettable pushbutton combination mechanism. Choose the S5 Titanium if you need to store more than two keys in the same finish.

Can the combination be changed after installation?
Yes. The combination is resettable at any time without removing the key safe from the wall. This is useful when access personnel change or a code needs to be updated for security reasons.

What finish options are available for the S6?
The S6 is available in Titanium (SU1193 - this product), White (SU1370), Clay in a box pack (SU1414), and Clay in a display pack (SU1371). All are mechanically identical.

Is drilling required for installation?
Yes. The S6 is a permanent wall-mount key safe installed with screws into the wall. Mounting hardware and instructions are included. Choose the Kidde KeySafe C3 Portable if a no-drill installation is required.

Is a weather cover available for the S6?

Install in a discreet location and use a non-obvious code. Key safes provide a practical access solution, but their security depends on installation position and code selection. Mount the S6 in a location that is not immediately visible from the street, and avoid predictable codes such as birthdates or sequential numbers.

Change the code when access personnel change. The resettable combination is the primary access management tool on a mechanical key safe. Reset the code whenever a contractor, cleaner, or tenant no longer requires access.
