ASSA ABLOY Aperio AH100-005 H100 DDA Grip Kit - Satin Chrome Pearl

The AH100-005 H100 DDA Grip Kit is a genuine ASSA ABLOY accessory for the Aperio H100 Wireless Handle. It provides a disability-access style grip that supports ergonomic operation and improved accessibility on H100 installations - relevant where the installation must meet or align with Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) access requirements or where ease of use for people with limited hand strength or dexterity is a design consideration.

Finished in Satin Chrome Pearl. Where both a DDA grip and a U-handle are required on the same installation, the AH100-106 H100 DDA Grip & U-Handle Kit combines both components in a single kit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this grip kit make an H100 installation DDA-compliant?
The AH100-005 supports accessibility-optimised grip configuration on the H100, but full DDA compliance under AS1428.1 depends on the complete installation - including handle height, door forces, and other hardware factors. The grip kit is one element of a DDA-considered installation, not a standalone compliance certification. For guidance on what AS1428.1 compliance actually requires in access control, see our DDA Smart Locks guide.
What is the difference between the AH100-005 and the AH100-106?
The AH100-005 is the DDA grip kit only. The AH100-106 is the combined kit that includes both the DDA grip and a U-handle as a single purchase. If the installation requires both components, the AH100-106 is more convenient. If only the grip is needed, specify the AH100-005.
Is this grip kit compatible with all Aperio handle models?
The AH100-005 is specifically designed for the Aperio H100 Wireless Handle. It is not interchangeable with accessories from other Aperio product families. Confirm H100 system compatibility before ordering.

Additional Information

DDA and NDIS context: The Aperio H100 with a DDA grip kit is typically specified in projects where an Aperio wireless access control system must also meet accessibility requirements - aged care, SDA housing, healthcare, education, and public buildings are common contexts. For a broader overview of how NDIS funding applies to access control hardware, see Chapter 09 of our Buyer's Guide.

Grip only vs combined kit: If both a DDA grip and a U-handle are required for the same installation, the AH100-106 DDA Grip & U-Handle Kit provides both components together. Specify the AH100-005 only where the U-handle is not required.

Professional installation required: This accessory must be fitted by an accredited Aperio-trained installer. It is not suitable for end-user self-installation.
