ASSA ABLOY Aperio AH100-006 H100 DDA Grip and U-Handle Kit - Satin Chrome
The Aperio AH100-006 is a genuine ASSA ABLOY two-piece kit for the Aperio H100 Wireless Handle. ASSA ABLOY catalogues it as a kit comprising the AH100-001 U-Handle in Satin Chrome and the AH100-005 DDA Grip - an ergonomic, accessibility-focused handle configuration bought as one item rather than two.
Both pieces are mechanical. The H100 keeps its reader, radio and CR123A battery inside the outer part of the handle, so this kit changes how the door is gripped and pulled, not how it is credentialled.
This is a component for the Aperio H100 Wireless Handle. It contains no reader, no radio, no battery and no locking mechanism, and it will not operate a door on its own. The H100 handle itself is not stocked as a separate listing at Terry's - confirm you already have one, or ask us before ordering. The sister kit AH100-106 is the same pairing in the other finish. If you already have a U-handle and only need the grip, buy the AH100-005 on its own.
This is a restricted product supplied to accredited installers only. It is a special order item and is non-returnable unless faulty. Confirm Aperio system compatibility before ordering.
Page 25 of the Aperio Technical Catalogue lists AH100-006 as AH100-001 U-Handle (Satin Chrome) plus AH100-005 DDA Grip. The U-handle proper is AH100-001. AH100-002 is a different part - the two-piece end cap adapter set (battery holder end cap and dummy end cap) - and is not what this kit contains. AH100-001 is not stocked as a separate listing at Terry's; order it through us if you need one.
ASSA ABLOY describes the AH100-005 component as a grip for disability access. No ASSA ABLOY document in our files states AS1428.1 certification, an NDIS approval or any accessibility compliance mark for this kit. Where a project requires certified accessible hardware, confirm the specification with your access consultant before ordering.
Key Features
- Two genuine ASSA ABLOY Aperio parts in one purchase - AH100-001 U-Handle in Satin Chrome and AH100-005 DDA Grip.
- U-handle profile keeps the handle out of a circulation path compared with a projecting lever.
- Larger grip profile for easier operation where hand strength or dexterity is limited.
- Mechanical parts only - no reader, radio, battery or locking mechanism.
- Fits the Aperio H100 Wireless Handle, which retrofits onto existing 8mm-spindle mortice lock cases without drilling or cabling.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. The catalogue is explicit: this kit is AH100-001 U-Handle in Satin Chrome plus AH100-005 DDA Grip. AH100-002 is the separate two-piece end cap adapter set and is sold on its own.
Finish only. AH100-006 pairs the DDA grip with a Satin Chrome U-handle; AH100-106 is the same kit in the other finish. Both use the same AH100-005 grip.
No ASSA ABLOY document in our files makes that claim. The catalogue describes the grip component as being for disability access - an ergonomic profile, not a certified accessibility product.
The DDA grip is available on its own as AH100-005. The U-handle (AH100-001) is not stocked as a separate listing - order it through us if you need one.
Additional Information
ASSA ABLOY lists two H100 finishes: Satin Pearl and Matt Black. The catalogue's accessory table additionally describes the AH100-006 U-handle as Satin Chrome. Where older listings used a third finish name for H100 accessories, that name appears in no current ASSA ABLOY document and is not used here.
Aperio is an access control platform, not a consumer smart lock. Commissioning happens through the Electronic Access Control system the handle is paired to. See Advice and Installation if you need a locksmith to carry out the work.
