ASSA ABLOY Aperio AH100-096 H100 530 Latch 8mm + Adaption Plate - Large 70mm Backset
The AH100-096 is a genuine ASSA ABLOY mechanical accessory for the Aperio H100 Wireless Handle. It combines a 530 latch with an 8mm spindle and a large adaption plate configured for 70mm backset door preparations. It is used in retrofit and replacement installations where a 70mm backset mortice configuration is required to suit the existing door prep.
Getting the backset right is critical - 70mm is one of the two standard Australian backset sizes (the other being 60mm). Always measure the backset on site before ordering. For the 60mm backset version, see the AH100-086.
Usually ships within 5 business days (subject to supplier availability).
The Aperio AH100-096 is a restricted product that can only be sold to accredited installers. This is a special order item and is non-returnable unless faulty. Confirm the installed door backset is 70mm before ordering - the 60mm version (AH100-086) is a separate product.

Frequently Asked Questions
Backset is measured from the edge of the door to the centre of the spindle hole. Follow our step-by-step backset measurement guide before ordering. In Australia, 60mm and 70mm are the two standard residential and light commercial backset sizes. Ordering the wrong backset means the latch will not align with the door strike plate. For an overview of standard Australian backset sizes, see our dedicated backset guide.
Both are H100 530 latch + large adaption plate kits. The only difference is the backset configuration: AH100-096 is for 70mm backset; AH100-086 is for 60mm backset. The latch and adaption plate are otherwise identical. Confirm the door backset on site before ordering.
A latch kit with the wrong backset will not align with the door strike. The latch bolt will either miss the strike plate entirely or bind against the frame, preventing the door from latching correctly. This is one of the most common Aperio installation errors. See wrong backset in our installation troubleshooting guide for how to identify and correct it.
No. The AH100-096 is a mechanical latch and adaption plate only. The Aperio H100 Wireless Handle, firmware adapter, and Aperio hub are all sold separately.
Additional Information
Always measure before ordering: The AH100-096 is a 70mm backset product. It cannot be adjusted to suit a 60mm backset installation. Backset must be confirmed on site before placing the order. Use a tape measure to measure from the door edge to the centre of the existing spindle hole, or refer to our backset measuring guide in Chapter 02. If the backset is 60mm, order the AH100-086 instead.
8mm spindle: The 530 latch in this kit uses an 8mm spindle to interface with the H100 handle drive mechanism. Confirm that the installed H100 handle configuration accepts an 8mm spindle before ordering. This is a genuine ASSA ABLOY Aperio component and should not be substituted with generic 8mm latches.
Professional installation required: Latch and adaption plate replacement in an Aperio H100 system must be performed by an accredited Aperio-trained installer. This is not an end-user serviceable component.
