HID Gasket Pack to suit RK40 Readers - IP65 (Box of 10)
The HID Gasket Pack to suit RK40 Readers (IP65GSKTRK40) is a pack of ten mounting gaskets from HID for the iCLASS SE RK40 keypad reader. The RK40 is IP55 rated as it comes; fitted with this gasket it is rated IP65. HID recommends the gasket for outdoor installation, and it is not supplied with the reader.
One gasket does one reader, so a pack covers ten. It is made for the RK40 only - HID makes a different gasket kit for each iCLASS SE reader body, and this one does not fit the HID iCLASS SE R15 or the RKLB40 biometric reader.

HID lists this kit as IP65GSKT-RK40, for use with model RK40, in its ordering guide (page 23). We list it without the hyphen, as IP65GSKTRK40. We do not list the RK40 reader itself. For the multiCLASS SE RPK40 or any other model, contact us before you order.

HID iCLASS SE Gasket Kits and Mounting Plates
HID makes a separate gasket kit and a separate mounting plate for each iCLASS SE reader body. These are HID's part numbers, with the two we list.
Choose by reader model - the parts do not interchange. If you are not sure which reader you have, send us a photo and we will confirm it before you order. HID's part numbers are from its readers and credentials ordering guide (pages 23 and 22).
Full Specifications
Fitting the Gasket
On a new installation, fit the gasket when you mount the reader's backplate to the junction box or wall - HID's guide shows it at that first step. HID gives no separate steps for a reader that is already on the wall; the three below are our guidance.
- Take the reader off. Power the reader down, undo the screw that holds it to its backplate, and lift the reader away so the backplate can be reached.
- Fit the gasket with the backplate, then refit the reader and its screw.
- Power up and test. The reader beeps and its LED flashes at power-up, and again when you present a card.
- Mount on a flat surface so the gasket can seal all the way round.
- Taking the reader off its backplate can trip the reader's tamper output. Let whoever monitors the system know before you start.
- The anti-tamper version of the reader's fixing screw needs HID's 04-0001-03 security tool.
- One gasket per reader - the pack covers ten.

- Check the model before you order. The RK40 is the wall switch size iCLASS SE reader with a 4 x 3 keypad. If you are not sure which reader is on your wall, send us a photo and we will confirm it.
- One part, two ways of writing it. HID writes this kit as IP65GSKT-RK40. We list it as IP65GSKTRK40. They are the same part.
- Warranty on this part. HID covers iCLASS SE reader accessories for two years, as the warranty box below sets out - the lifetime cover there is for readers and credentials. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply as well.

Most HID readers and HID-branded credentials carry lifetime cover; a small number of specific models and accessories carry a fixed term instead.

Warranty Summary
Understanding "Lifetime" Cover
HID's published policy uses the term "Lifetime Warranty Period" without defining it further - it is not stated as a fixed number of years, "for the life of the product", or "as long as you own it". It applies for as long as HID continues to honour that stated period under its published policy.
How to Make a Claim
- Contact Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites, trading names, and subsidiaries with your proof of original purchase and a description of the fault.
- Where a claim needs to be escalated, HID requires written notice from the end customer within the applicable warranty period - we handle this notification on your behalf.
- HID's remedy, at its own option, is to repair the product, replace it, or issue a credit towards a future purchase.
- Postage, insurance and shipping costs to present hardware for warranty assessment are the end customer's responsibility under HID's policy - we'll advise what's needed before anything is sent.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover, and will be voided by, any of the following:
- Installation by anyone other than HID or an HID-authorised installer
- Use other than as authorised in HID's own documentation
- Modification, alteration or repair by a party other than HID
- Combination with hardware, operating systems or tools not provided by HID
- Accident, neglect, misuse or negligence
- Upgrades, evaluation units and demonstration units
- Consumables - batteries, paper, pads, cleaning solution, towels, cartridges and cables

This manufacturer warranty applies in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
