ASSA ABLOY Aperio E100-PL2SSS Scar Plate - 52mm (One Pair) Satin Stainless Steel
The E100-PL2SSS is a genuine ASSA ABLOY scar plate (cover plate) set for the Aperio E100 electronic escutcheon. Supplied as one pair, these plates are used in retrofit and upgrade installations to conceal previous door hardware preparation, routing, or surface marking left after removing old hardware.
Each plate is 1.2mm thick. This additional thickness must be accounted for when calculating the required spindle length during installation - failure to do so is a common cause of lock malfunction after fitting. See the note on spindle length errors for guidance.
Usually ships within 12 business days (subject to supplier availability).
The Aperio E100-PL2SSS is a restricted product that can only be sold to accredited installers. Confirm E100 system compatibility before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions
A scar plate (also called a cover plate or renovation plate) is a thin metal plate fitted over the door face around an escutcheon to conceal damage, residual holes, or surface marks left from previous hardware. For a full explainer covering when scar plates are needed and how to specify them, see What is a scar plate? in our Scar Plates for Smart Locks guide.
Yes - this is an important installation consideration. Each plate adds 1.2mm to the effective door face thickness. If scar plates are fitted to both sides of the door, the total spindle length required increases by 2.4mm. Using a spindle that is too short is one of the most common causes of lock malfunction after installation. See our spindle length troubleshooting guide before finalising the spindle specification.
The E100-PL2SSS is specifically sized and shaped for the Aperio E100 electronic escutcheon. It is not interchangeable with scar plates from other Aperio product families. Confirm E100 compatibility before ordering. For the full ASSA ABLOY Aperio scar plate range, see the ASSA ABLOY Aperio section of our brand-by-brand scar plate guide.
Additional Information
Spindle length adjustment is mandatory when scar plates are fitted: The 1.2mm plate thickness per side must be incorporated into the spindle length calculation before installation. If two plates are used (one each side), add 2.4mm to the required spindle length. Not adjusting for this is a common installation error. See our spindle length error guide for detail.
Finish match recommendation: For a consistent appearance, specify the E100 scar plate in a finish that matches the E100 escutcheon and surrounding door hardware. The E100-PL2SSS is supplied in Satin Stainless Steel. If a different finish is required, confirm availability with your ASSA ABLOY distributor.
Brand guide reference: The ASSA ABLOY Aperio section of our scar plate brand guide covers which E100 plates are available, their dimensions, and finish options across the Aperio range. Refer to this before specifying.
