Wolflok WFK898 Spare Code Change Tool

The Wolflok WFK898 is the official replacement code change tool for the Wolflok and Wolflok Pro maximum-security key safes. Supplied as standard inside every new Wolflok unit, this small amber tool is the only correct implement for adjusting the internal code dials — using anything else, including a screwdriver, will damage the dial mechanism and void your warranty.

The code change tool is stored inside the Wolflok vault itself, keeping it secure and accessible whenever you need to update your code. If yours has been lost, misplaced, or damaged, the WFK898 is the direct like-for-like replacement from the brand.

Key Features

  • Official Wolflok replacement code change tool — the only correct implement for adjusting Wolflok internal code dials
  • Compatible with both the Wolflok (960064) and Wolflok Pro (960071) key safes
  • Prevents mechanism damage caused by using improvised tools — screwdrivers will damage the dials and void your warranty
  • Compact, lightweight amber plastic construction — stores neatly inside the Wolflok vault
  • Direct replacement for the tool supplied in every new Wolflok box
  • Length: 47mm

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I use a screwdriver to change the code?

The internal code dials are precision components designed to turn smoothly under light, controlled pressure. A screwdriver applies the wrong shape and too much force — it will gouge the dial slots, damage the mechanism, and void your Wolflok warranty. Always use the WFK898 code change tool. If you feel resistance when turning a dial, stop immediately and consult the instruction manual or contact support@wolflok.com.

Where is the code change tool normally stored?

Wolflok stores the code change tool inside the vault itself, behind the key hooks. This keeps it secure and immediately accessible to anyone who knows the current code — which is also a deliberate security feature, since only an authorised user can retrieve it.

Does the WFK898 suit both the standard Wolflok and the Wolflok Pro?

Yes. The WFK898 is the same tool for both the Wolflok 960064 and the Wolflok Pro 960071.

How do I change the code on my Wolflok?

Full step-by-step instructions are in your Wolflok user guide. A video walkthrough is also available: How to Code Wolflok and Wolflok Pro key lock boxes. In brief: open the vault, locate the hidden dial panel under the internal cover, and use the WFK898 to set each dial to the number of times that digit appears in your chosen code. Each digit can be used up to four times; any digit not in your code must be set to zero.

How often should I change my code?

Change it whenever access is no longer required for a particular person — for example, after a tradesperson visit, a guest checkout, or a change of tenants. Always note your new code: there is no master override or reset code, and no codes are held by Wolflok or Gold Coast Smart Locks.

How to Make a Claim

For full returns and warranty claim procedures, visit our Returns & Warranty page — this is kept up to date and is the authoritative reference for current claim steps.
  1. Contact Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites, trading names, and subsidiaries (trading as Gold Coast Smart Locks) in the first instance — do not contact the manufacturer directly for warranty claims.
  2. Have your proof of purchase ready (order confirmation or receipt).
  3. Describe the fault clearly, including the product model (Wolflok or Wolflok Pro) and when the issue first appeared.
  4. If directed to return the product, ensure it is securely packaged. Do not attempt disassembly — this may void the warranty.

Extend Your Warranty to 5 Years — Free Registration

It's worth taking 2 minutes to register your Wolflok.
Registering extends the mechanical parts warranty from 2 years to 5 years at no cost. The registration form at wolflok.com/product-registration is set up for Australian buyers — just select Australia as your country, enter your product model and date of purchase, and you're done. No registration deadline is stated, so you can register at any time after purchase.

Note: The 5-year extension applies to mechanical parts only. The illumination module remains covered for 2 years regardless of registration, and batteries are excluded from all warranty coverage.

Exclusions

The following are not covered under the Wolflok warranty:

  • Damage caused by modification of the product — any modification voids warranty
  • Damage resulting from installation not carried out in accordance with the supplied instructions (including use of incorrect fixings or surface types)
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Batteries (user-replaceable consumables)
  • The illumination module beyond 2 years (not covered under the 5-year extended registration)
  • Damage caused by conditions beyond the product's rated operating range

Important Notes

Correct installation is required to maintain warranty coverage.
The product must be installed and used as described in the supplied instruction manual. Security accreditation (LPS 1175) may also be invalidated if incorrect fixings or surface types are used. Do not reuse screws if reinstalling — contact your supplier for replacement fixings.

No master or reset code exists. Wolflok key lock boxes have no master or reset code function. Lost codes cannot be recovered by the manufacturer, distributor, or retailer.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
