McGrath Locks Bardon Internal Snib Blank Disc
This McGrath blank disc covers the internal snib opening on the McGrath Bardon smart lock when the snib has been removed. It gives the inside of the handle a clean, finished appearance where the snib used to sit.
It is most often needed on fire-rated door installations - for example when the Bardon is paired with an F54 ANSI mortice lock - where an internal privacy snib is not permitted. The disc is a small passive accessory: no electronics, no moving parts, adhesive-backed for a simple fit.
Usually same day if ordered before 11am AEST (excluding weekends and QLD public holidays)
Key Features
- Covers the internal snib opening on the McGrath Bardon smart lock once the snib is removed.
- Commonly required when pairing the Bardon with an F54 ANSI mortice lock on fire-rated doors.
- Adhesive backing for a clean, straightforward fit.
- 32mm diameter, 2.2mm thick - sized specifically for the Bardon internal handle.
- Passive accessory - no electronics, no moving parts.
On fire-rated doors an internal privacy snib is generally not permitted, so the snib is removed and this disc covers the opening. The disc itself does not carry a fire rating - fire compliance is system-based and depends on the complete doorset and hardware. For the standard and lock-type detail, see the F05 vs F54 ANSI mortice locks guide and the Fire Door Smart Locks chapter.
