Installation Tips
- Confirm the backset before ordering - 60mm is standard, with 89mm and 127mm available for wider stiles. Our backset measurement guide shows how.
- Standard door thickness range is 32-50mm (35.5mm for SCEC applications). For doors thicker than 50mm, a 3570 Series extension spindle (50-75mm) is available.
- Door furniture and escutcheons are ordered separately - the lock is compatible with most Lockwood escutcheons, furniture, and electric strikes.
- For fire-door installations, confirm the complete doorset assembly is part of a compliant fire-rated system. On existing apartment fire doors, check for asbestos risk before drilling.
- As a nightlatch is a self-latching secondary lock, review the one-penetration principle where fitting to strata or fire doors.
